Ford to launch employee pricing next week

DETROIT — Ford Motor Co. will try to boost sales with a new employee pricing program that starts next week, according to a report from the Associated Press. Some vehicles will also qualify for cash rebates.

Ford plans to roll out the program Wednesday, Nov. 19, through Jan. 5 as part of year-end clearance sales, the AP reported.

The 2009 F-150 pickup, which has just been launched, is not included. Ford officials would not confirm any new incentives.

General Motors started its annual Red Tag clearance sale Nov. 4, two weeks early. The GM discounts are also scheduled to end Jan. 5.
