2007 Sydney MotorShow: Lexus LS600hL Hybrid, IS-F Sedan, LX570 Roadster
2007 Australian International Sydney Motor Show automakers report: Lexus is going to debut the LS 600hL luxury hybrid, the IS-F performance sedan and the LX 570 luxury off-roader at the Sydney Motor Show.
The 2007 Lexus stand will encompass the brand’s complete hybrid vehicle line-up, headlined by the soon-to-be-released Lexus LS 600hL long-wheelbase luxury saloon.
Lexus LS 600hL is the world’s first V8 hybrid, and the all-wheel drive also features Lexus’ most opulent interior, containing an ottoman rear seat.
Other performance hybrid vehicles on the stand will include the Lexus GS 450h performance sedan and the Lexus RX 400h hybrid SUV.
Also headlining the stand will be the all-new Lexus IS-F performance sedan, featuring a five-litre V8, an eight-speed sports direct shift (SPDS) transmission and a performance braking package.
Lexus IS-F is due for release locally late 2008 and gives an indication of the future direction of Lexus’ performance vehicles - distinguished by the ‘F’ designation.
Lexus will also display its forthcoming Lexus LX 570 four-wheel drive, featuring a 5.7-litre V8, a six-speed transmission and Lexus’ all-new Crawl Control feature, which assists drivers with negotiating rough terrain.
Lexus Australia chief executive John Roca said the Lexus 2007 Australian International Motor Show stand was one of the biggest in the company’s history.
“Show-goers will be treated to an advance look at some of the future vehicles for the Lexus brand,” Mr Roca said.
“Having three all-new models this year unequivocally demonstrates Lexus’ commitment to performance and luxury motoring in Australia.
“In fact, there will be a Lexus vehicle here for almost everyone - whether you’re environmentally conscious, a driving enthusiast or an off-roader, you’ll find it on this year’s stand.”
